This is a very solid bluegrass banjo from a great era of Deering production and it's in good playing condition, with a straight neck and low comfortable action. There is some fret wear but plenty of life left in the frets with all notes playing true and without buzz. There is some finish crazing in the back of the Mahogany resonator and minor marks and tarnish on the metal parts as might be expected of a 40-year instrument and a small chip at the back of the head-stock, all minor things that do not detract from the solid feel and tone of this excellent instrument. Comes with its original hard shell case in usable condition.
